By now, I’m sure all of you are well aware of the earthquake that hit Christchurch last month, home of Skindependent Suspensions. Although many of them are still coping with the massive amount of damage that was done, what’s important is that they all came out of it unharmed. These photos are a set that Eden sent to me just a few days before the earthquake happened of an open suspension day they held there.

It is a great look at happier times for the members of Skindependent, and I’m sure it won’t be long before they are back up and going. Eden has said repeatedly how grateful he is for the amount of love they have been shown from the suspension community worldwide. Every group has it’s ups and downs, but it never ceases to amaze me at how quickly and how fiercely members of our community pull together when someone is in need.

I’ve been told that some of the businesses in the city won’t be up and going again until the end of the year or later. These guys definitely have a long road ahead with rebuilding and getting their lives back to normal, but I have no doubt that they will pull together and get through it. Until then, I hope all of you in Skindependent know we are keeping you in our thoughts.
